Initial Consultation
The initial consultation is free and is set up primarily to enable
the exchange of ideas. We will discuss
likes, dislikes, and site goals with you. Together, we begin to work toward
the vision of the final product.
Proposal and Estimate
After the consultation, we will provide a proposal, time estimate, and
cost estimate based on the size and complexity of the proposed web site.
The estimate will include any outside costs that I anticipate.
The client will be offered the choice of a bid price or being billed on an hourly basis.
Site Design
When the proposal is accepted by the client, we begin design.
We will generally start with the homepage and the overall layout of the site.
We will keep a working site available so that the client can track progress and offer
suggestions at any juncture. We believe this approach keeps the client best-informed
and therefore happiest with the end result
Client Approval and Sign-Off
After the web site design is complete and functioning, the client will
provide the final proofing of the site. Once this is complete,
we will install the site on the client's server and thoroughly test the site in
its new environment.
Maintenance and Updates
Once the site is online and operational, there still may be a need for
periodic updates. We will provide an initial check to ensure that our search
engine optimization (SEO) techniques are working. After these intial checks,
further services are generally not included in the estimate
or bid and will be billed individually based on the time necessary to complete
the tasks. If the updates occur at predictable intervals, it is recommenced
that a maintenance agreement be used.
